The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) offers a variety of benefits to eligible veterans and their families. We work closely with families to ensure they receive all honors and entitlements available.
Available Veterans Benefits
Eligible veterans may receive the following benefits:
Burial in a National Cemetery
Includes a gravesite, grave opening and closing, perpetual care, a government-furnished headstone or marker, and a burial flag, all at no cost to the family.
Headstone, Marker, or Medallion
Provided for eligible veterans in a national, state, or private cemetery.
Presidential Memorial Certificate (PMC)
An engraved certificate signed by the President of the United States to honor the memory of honorably discharged veterans.
Burial Flag
A U.S. flag is provided to drape the casket or accompany the urn of a veteran.
Reimbursement of Burial Expenses
Eligible families may receive partial reimbursement for funeral and burial costs if certain conditions are met.
Eligibility Requirements
Veterans who were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable are generally eligible for benefits. Benefits may also extend to:
